A Florida teen drowned late Sunday after a Jet Ski incident that occurred while he wasn't wearing a life jacket, Polk County authorities said.

The 17-year-old victim was reportedly riding a jet ski on Lake Clinch with a 15-year-old who was wearing a life jacket, authorities said.

When the older teen tried an abrupt turn, both teens fell into the water with the surviving teen getting back into the jet ski and beginning a search for his friend and alerting others.
