A University of Arkansas football commit was killed in an ATV crash in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday.

18-year-old Dion Stutts dies in an accident involving an ATV on his family's property.

The standout football player was recruited to join the Arkansas Razorbacks next year.

  • “We are heartbroken over the passing of Dion Stutts. He was a tremendous young man with a bright future ahead of him,” the team's officials said in a statement.

    “We were as excited to add him to our program as he was to be a Razorback.”

    Further details about the deadly crash that claimed Stutts' life were not immediately shared.

    “Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother Shante and father Dino along with his entire family as they deal with this loss,” the Arkansas Razorbacks' statement continued.
