Seattle news, Washington news.

Two Seattle teens were struck and killed when they crossed paths with a “drunk and high” driver as they drove home from a birthday in March.

This week, authorities revealed that Delfino Lopez-Morlaes was heavily intoxicated, driving the wrong way on the West Seattle Bridge and exceeding the speed limit of 55 miles when he crashed into Riley Danard and Khalea Theouk's vehicle.

Danard had just celebrated his 18th birthday and was returning home when the deadly collision occurred shortly after midnight.

“He was the kindest, most gentle, and loving young man with an incredibly bright future. Riley and Khalea were the most amazing people you could ever meet. They loved each other so much.”

Lopez-Morales, 36, survived the crash and was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.
