'Cant' believe he's gone': Pennsylvania College baseball player, 19, dies in freak accident after dugout falls on him

A 19-year-old Pennsylvania college baseball player is dead after a makeshift dugout fell on him, authorities said.

Angel Mercado-Ocasio didn't survive his injuries after the dugout he was helping disassemble collapsed on him late Tuesday.

The medical examiner's office in Cumberland County stated that Mercado-Ocasio died from a traumatic head injury after he was injured by the frame of the structure.

    Fellow teammates mourned the untimely death of the small, quiet Central Penn College student with a big heart.

    “He didn't care who he was going up against, I feel like he had whatever he had in him to try and beat the opponent,” teammate Francisco Escudero said.

    “I still can't believe that Angel is gone.”
