Marine recruit, 21, suddenly dies during physical fitness test at SC training center

A Marine recruit died suddenly while undergoing a physical fitness test at a South Carolina Marine Corps training center Tuesday.

21-year-old Noah Evans died during the test, according to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island who added that his cause of death remains unclear at this time.

“Our deepest condolences go out to Noah's family and to the Marines and staff of Mike Company,” an online statement read.

    The fallen recruit had a high school diploma and was not married, officials said.
