A Marine recruit died suddenly while undergoing a physical fitness test at a South Carolina Marine Corps training center Tuesday.
21-year-old Noah Evans died during the test, according to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island who added that his cause of death remains unclear at this time.
“Our deepest condolences go out to Noah's family and to the Marines and staff of Mike Company,” an online statement read.

The Decatur, Georgia native was a recruit assigned to Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and Recruit Training Regiment.
The fallen recruit had a high school diploma and was not married, officials said.
An investigation into the tragic death is underway.
