Tech mogul & cash app maker Bob Lee stabbed to death in California

Police in San Francisco, California identified the victim of a fatal stabbing in San Francisco's downtown Rincon Hill neighborhood as tech mogul Bob Lee.

The 43-year-old CashApp maker was found unresponsive with multiple stab wounds at 2:35 a.m. He died at a local hospital.

Lee worked as the chief technology officer of Square and MobileCoin; his death shocked coworkers who took to social media to pay tributes to “a force of nature.”

No arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting as of Wednesday morning.

“Bob was a force of nature. He helped to birth Android and CashApp into our world,” MobileCoin's CEO Joshua Goldbard said.

“Moby was his dream: a privacy-protecting wallet for the 21st Century. I will miss him every day.”
