A Florida teen was sentenced to life behind bars Friday for the gruesome murder of a 13-year-old cheerleader who was stabbed 114 times and left dead in woods in May 2021.

St. Johns County Circuit Judge Lee Smith reviled Aiden Fucci, now 16, for plotting to kill Trystin Bailey who suffered a “painful, horrifying death from someone that she trusted.”

“This was not done out of greed. It was not done in retaliation or retribution or revenge. It was not a crime of passion,” Smith said.
