Indiana boy, 13, takes own life after being 'made fun of' at middle school

An Indiana boy tragically ended his life this week after suffering brutal bullying at his middle school, his grieving parents said.

Terry Badger III, 13, was a baseball enthusiast who dreamt of playing for St. Louis Cardinals, a GoFundMe page for the family reads.

“This was an unexpected event where an innocent child took his own life as a result of bullying,” it added.

TB3 as he was commonly known played baseball for the Fury, Braves, Nitro, and other teams of his Covington town before committing suicide on March 6.

  • “He suffered relentless bullying at Covington Middle School,” Terry's dad said.

    “He was being made fun of all the time,” Terry's mom added. “They put him down, told him he was a loser. Told him he was fat and that he should kill himself.”

    “Kids told him he sucked at baseball. Every haircut he had they made fun of. Anything that kid did, they made fun of him.”

    Terry's father said that he contacted school officials twice about the incidents and was told “they're kids and we're teachers and we can't control everybody.”
