“Days of Our Lives” actor Cody Longo was found dead in his Austin home Wednesday. He was 34.
“Cody was our whole world,” said Longo's wife, Stephanie Clark, who requested a welfare check on him while she was at work.
“The kids and I are shattered and beyond devastated. He was the best dad and best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”
Longo's body was found by police officers after he failed to open the door forcing them to kick down the door.
Longo starred in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” but made several appearances in “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “CSI: NY” in addition to his participation in “Nashville” and “Secrets and Lies.”
“My heart breaks for his beautiful family,” Longo's manager Alex Gittelson said. “He had taken some time away from acting to pursue music and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we had kept in touch regularly and he was excited to get back into acting this year.”
“Cody was such a loyal, loving, and talented person and he will be greatly missed.”
