A Duxbury woman was rushed to the hospital after jumping out of a window late Tuesday, police said adding that two of her three children were found dead.
The incident unfolded shortly after 6 p.m. Police responded to the home over reports of an attempted suicide when a man made the 911 call.
Three children were found unresponsive inside the residence suffering visible trauma. Two of them, a five-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy, were pronounced dead at a hospital.
An infant boy, an eight-month-old, is fighting for his life at a Boston hospital. The Plymouth County District Attorney confirmed that the woman who tried to commit suicide was the children's mom.
“This is an unimaginable senseless tragedy,” Attorney Tim Cruz said. “We're in the process right now of getting information regarding our search warrants, making sure we do everything we need to do to get into the house lawfully to make the determinations that we have to make.”
