Texas restaurant employee fatally shoots colleague at workplace

An employee at a Corpus Christi restaurant is dead and another is behind bars after a fatal shooting on the afternoon of August 8.

Authorities said that 42-year-old Anthony Carrington fatally shot his fellow P.F. Chang’s worker Travis Boring, 34, following a fight at the Chinese-themed restaurant in La Palmera Mall.

  • Boring was rushed to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds at around 3:30 p.m. and was released to his home where he developed complications and passed away days later.

    Carrington was accused of Boring’s murder in addition to an armed bank robbery that he allegedly carried out less than a half-hour after the shooting.

    He was arrested On North Staples Street and booked at the Nueces County Jail with his bond initially set at $250,000. Following Boring’s death, his bond and charges are expected to be upgraded.
