Raleigh news, North Carolina news.

The mystery behind the death of a North Carolina pilot who jumped out of an aircraft midair last week continues with authorities releasing the frantic 911 call made by Raleigh Airport officials.

“This is from Raleigh Airport. We have a pilot who was inbound to the field. His co-pilot jumped out of the aircraft. He made impact to the ground and here are the coordinates.”

It remains unclear what prompted 23-year-old Charles Hew Crooks, a Bucknell University graduate, to leap to his death from the plane without a parachute minutes before a successful emergency landing.
