A “hero” Alabama girl was found wandering along a roadside in Dadeville early Monday leading police to discover two bodies inside a rural home.

  • According to Abbett, the suspect resided at the home where he committed the crimes since February; the girl had been held captive for a week, tied to bedspots, assaulted, and forced to drink alcohol.

“I would say she’s a hero. It’s one of those things we won’t get into until later. We gave her medical attention. She is safe now. We want to keep her that way,” Abbett added.

“It’s horrendous to have a crime scene of this nature.”
