The five victims of a tragic crash that unfolded on a Weld County, Colorado interstate Monday were members of the same family.

Authorities identified the deceased as Emiliano and Christina Godines, 51 and 47, Aaron Godinez, 20, his girlfriend, Halie Everts, also 20, and their three-month-old baby Tessleigh Godinez.

The family perished when a semi-truck rear-ended their Ford Edge forcing it into the center median where it was hit by two other vehicles and the same semi another time.

“We’re still in the very early stages of the investigation,” Trooper Josh Lewis said.

“Aaron and Halie were young and just starting their beautiful family. However, God had other plans.”
