Texas man succumbs to injuries after telling cops he, wife exchanged gunfire in tragic double-suicide

A Texas man succumbed to his injuries at a hospital days after he and his wife shot each other in a tragic double-suicide that shook the Fort Worth community.

Jessic Dejuan Lacy Jr., 30, died Saturday after undergoing emergency surgery at a local hospital.

  • The coroner’s office determined that Lacy died from complications of a gunshot wound to the torso and ruled his death a homicide.

    Before his death, Lacy told detectives that he and his wife, 39-year-old Shannon Michelle Lacy, decided to shoot each other inside their home in the 4600 block of Wheatland Drive on June 1.

    After the incident, Lacy called 911 at around 7 p.m. to report what happened. Officers responded to the home and pronounced Lacy’s wife dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
