Stabbing outside Connecticut home leaves teen dead, 3 others injured

Authorities in Shelton, Connecticut are questioning the surviving victims of a stabbing that cost the life of a 17-year-old boy late Saturday.

James “Jimmy” McGrath was one of four teenagers that sustained stab wounds during a fight before he succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

“Four stabbing victims were located, given medical attention, and sent to the hospital,” Shelton Police said.

  • At Fairfield College Preparatory School where McGrath studied, the news of his tragic death sparked overwhelming sadness, especially within the lacrosse and football team where the late junior played.

    “As the school responds to our grieving community, we hold him and his family and friends in our prayers at this difficult time,” school officials said in a statement.

    “It’s sad to see what’s happening to our teenagers and that they are making so many wrong mistakes and decisions and I feel so scared for my kids growing up and going to school,” resident Christina Louis-Fin said.
