McCarthy, 4 other GOP lawmakers subpoenaed by Jan. 6 investigation committee

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is one of five GOP lawmakers subpoenaed by the House select committee probing last year’s Capitol breach after they failed to appear before the panel voluntarily, reports said Thursday.

Bennie Thompson, Committee Chair, revealed in a statement that the Republicans “have information relevant to our investigation into the attack on January 6th and the events leading up to it.”

    The statement added that the four other lawmakers are Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and Andy Biggs of Arizona.
