Humble news, Texas news.

A Texas girl was shot and killed inside her family’s Humble home where she was held captive by her mother’s boyfriend while the woman was out of town.

It was the 16-year-old victim’s sister who called 911 at around 1:05 a.m. to tell them about the situation after the suspect, identified as Van Brisbon, refused to open the home’s door.

As deputies approached the home, they heard a gunshot, the girl’s screaming, and then another shot. Brisbon then emerged from the home.
