During his Florence, South Carolina rally on Saturday, former President Donald Trump told the crowds that he was the tougher US president on Russia.
“This could lead to WWIII,” he said about Ukraine’s invasion. “I see what’s happening because if you think Putin’s going to stop, it’s going to get worse and worse.”
“He’s not going to accept it, and we don’t have anybody to talk to him. You had somebody to talk to him with me.”
He then boasted: “Nobody was ever tougher on Russia than me. I’m the one who stopped the pipelines…I stand as the only president of the 21st century that Russia did not invade any other country and neither did anyone else.”
“We had peace through strength because the world was calm because America was strong,” Trump added.
“The fake news said my personality is going to get us into a war…but actually, my personality is what kept us out of war.”
