Following the recent reports alleging that former President Donald Trump had taken classified documents with him to Mar-a-Lago and flushed others down the White House toilets, Hillary Clinton did not miss the chance to troll her former presidential rival.
“Just in time for Galentine’s Day, and the news that Trump was flushing documents down White House toilets…,” Clinton tweeted Friday.
She then announced the release of a “limited edition of hats with the words “but her emails” referring to Trump’s continuous attacks against her for mishandling top-secret information while working at the State Department.
Trump issued a lengthy statement in response to the recent claims against him.
“The papers were given easily and without conflict and on a very friendly basis, which is different from the accounts being drawn up by the Fake News Media,” he said.
“I have been told I was under no obligation to give this material based on various legal rulings that have been made over the years. Crooked Hillary Clinton, as an example, deleted and acid-washed 32,000 emails and never gave that to the government.”
