Three people were pronounced dead following a Saturday car crash that was caused by road conditions, Indiana State Police said.
The single-car crash occurred just after 2 p.m. Saturday along Interstate 70 as the doomed vehicle traveled westbound near the 24-mile marker, troopers said.
Glen A. Jackson, 58, had reportedly lost control of the car on the icy road before it went off the interstate, flipped over several times, and crashed into a tree.
In addition to Jackson, Rose M. Jackson, 57, and Amber Johnson, 35, were identified as the victims of the crash. A juvenile was injured and hospitalized but is expected to survive.
All victims were from New Madrid, Missouri. Drugs and alcohol were not suspected as contributing factors.
