3 Missouri people killed in single-car crash along icy Indiana Interstate

Three people were pronounced dead following a Saturday car crash that was caused by road conditions, Indiana State Police said.

The single-car crash occurred just after 2 p.m. Saturday along Interstate 70 as the doomed vehicle traveled westbound near the 24-mile marker, troopers said.

  • Glen A. Jackson, 58, had reportedly lost control of the car on the icy road before it went off the interstate, flipped over several times, and crashed into a tree.

    In addition to Jackson, Rose M. Jackson, 57, and Amber Johnson, 35, were identified as the victims of the crash. A juvenile was injured and hospitalized but is expected to survive.

    All victims were from New Madrid, Missouri. Drugs and alcohol were not suspected as contributing factors.
