A Texas woman was charged with capital murder after giving birth to a live baby then hid the body in plastic bags inside her car trunk, police said.
A doctor called 911 after Megan Cawley reached the Midland Memorial Hospital on November 30, suffering hemorrhage following the delivery.

The doctor noticed that Cawley had recently given birth after a 36-week pregnancy but the 31-year-old mom denied giving birth.
It was then that police searched her home to find blood and the baby’s body inside a car trunk. There, Cawley’s fiancé told cops he did not know about the delivery and had thought she was having other health issues.
Cawley is currently hospitalized but listed in custody.
