Tragic wrong-way crash involving school bus claims 3 lives in Texas

A wrong-way crash, involving a school bus and a Ford 350, has left three people dead and two others fighting for their lives in Big Spring, Texas.

The Department of Public Safety released little information regarding the cause of the tragic crash but confirmed that the Ford driver was “for unknown reasons” traveling the wrong way when they rammed into an Andrews SD bus carrying the high school marching band.

The car’s driver was among the three fatalities. Another person died at the scene while a third succumbed shortly later at a hospital.

    “We’ll get through tonight, but the tough part will be the days to come,” Andrews ISD Superintendent Bobby Azam said calling the accident “tragic.”

    “Prayers are with those still receiving services and those who have lost loved ones. There will be some long days, but we are West Texas and people have already pulled together tonight.”
