Body parts spotted floating in Tampa’s McKay Bay over last days; one limb had distinctive tattoo: Police

Tampa authorities are asking the public to assist in the investigation after human limbs washed up along the McKay Bay twice over the last few days.

Two fishermen have contacted police after spotting human body parts floating in the waters. The first discovery was made late Thursday while the second was reported the following day.

  • “I was putting out my lines getting ready to go fishing and all of a sudden I see this lump, what looked like a catfish, start floating by and as it gets closer to me I start realizing it looks more like a human leg,” one of the witnesses said.

    It is believed both findings were legs; one had a very distinctive tattoo consisting of three red hearts with three blue ribbons wrapped around each of them. Inside the ribbons were scribbled the three names: Sean, Greg, and Zach.
