Two Glynn County Police Department Detectives were called to testify on the murder trial of Ahmaud Arbery by the prosecution with one of the three suspects, Gregory McMichael, admitting to one of them he “didn’t think” Arbery committed a crime.

Detective Parker Marcy told the court that Gregory McMichael alleged during questioning to have spotted a person that looked like Arbery “breaking into, or being or wandering around” a home under construction” in some surveillance videos.

But the suspect admitted, however, that the house had no doors and no windows for a while.

“I don’t think the guy has actually stolen anything out of there or if he did, it was early in this process,” Marcy quoted McMichael stating. “But he keeps goind back there over and over and over again to this damn house.”

Earlier Tuesday, Police Officer Jeff Brandeberry told jurors that Gregory McMichael never used words of “arrest,” “detain,” or “trespass” when interviewed at the scene of the crime, and that one of his hands was bloodied.

“He had blood on, I believe, it was his left hand,” Brandeberry recalled.

The suspect later told Brandeberry that he had pulled out the victim’s arms to verify whether he had gun.

“If I could have got a shot at the guy, I’d have shot him myself, because he was,he was that violently,” McMichael said.
