Artist Travis Scott said on Twitter Saturday that he was left “absolutely devastated” after witnessing the deadly crush at the Astroworld Music Festival that killed eight people and hurt as many as 300 others.
The singer started his statement by praying for “the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”
“Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the family in need.”
The Astroworld Festival organizers had announced the cancelation of Saturday’s program and requested the public’s help with the ongoing investigation.
“As authorities mentioned in their press conference earlier, they are looking into the series of cardiac arrests that took place. If you have any relevant information on this, please reach out to Houston Police.”
