Alabama State inmate found dead in cell; foul play not suspected

An Alabama State inmate was found dead in his cell early Tuesday morning and authorities are not suspecting foul play in his death.

33-year-old Jonathan Clay Click was unresponsive in his bed when officers checked on him at around 4:15 a.m.

    Although there were no obvious signs of foul play, Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said that the death will be investigated by the Alabama Department of Corrections Intelligence and Investigations Division.

    Click was detained for a double shooting and robbery that took place in April 2012 and left two people with serious but non-mortal wounds. He was serving a 20-year sentence.
