Sources close to comedian Huey Haha confirmed that the 22-year-old California resident committed suicide earlier this week.
But the social media star had hinted at his struggle with mental illness in several posts, including one where he clearly said that his 2-year-old daughter Keilani was “the only thing that’s keeping me going.”
Haha also commented on a picture of him and his toddler: “Wish I could be better for you.”
The comedian had spoken about a tough upbringing with “no food, no nothing” for him and five siblings within a family that he despised.
“It has been confirmed from a few different sources close to his family that Huey took his own life by a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” a post on his feed revealed.
“He loved and appreciated every single one of his supporters. Rest In Peace Huey Ha.”
