Florida authorities have arrested a 33-year-old flight passenger who reportedly opened the emergency exit of a plane and walked on the wing just after the aircraft deplaned in Miami.
The bizarre incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. as American Airlines Flight 920 reached the terminal at Miami International Airport.
“During deplaning in Miami, a customer on American Airlines Flight 920 with service from Cali, Columbia to Mia exited the aircraft via an emergency exit,” Spokeswoman Whitney Zastrow said.”
“The customer was immediately detained by law enforcement. We thank our team members and law enforcement for their professionalism and quick action.”
The passenger was identified by local media outlets as 33-year-old Christian Segura. The other passengers on the flight deplaned without any problem.
