A frustrated mom has shot her boyfriend who had just thrown her 5-year-old daughter off a third-floor balcony because he believed she was “a demon.”
The bizarre incident occurred Sunday afternoon at a Boulder Highway apartment building where the family, who believed and practiced African spirituality, lived.
32-year-old Jarick Willis had told his girlfriend Angela Matthews on Saturday that he believed her daughter was “full of bad spirits” and “a demon.”
“Matthews told him to stop talking about her daughter in that way, to which she indicated Jarick apologized to her.”
But the following day, Willis grabbed the girl by the hair and threw her off the balcony leading her upset mom to shoot him in the chest and hands.
The child landed “face-first” below the balcony and sustained serious wounds including a damaged lung and liver, and multiple fractures.
