Authorities in Florida are investigating the death of an individual who was fatally struck by a train while laying on tracks Monday night.
The incident occurred at around 10:40 p.m. at approximately a quarter-mile from the intersection of North Grade Road and Beeline Highway.

“At approximately 10:11 p.m. yesterday evening, an individual was fatally injured after coming into contact with a CSX train on the tracks,” CSX said in a statement.
“We appreciate the swift response of the Palm Beach County Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office. This incident is under investigation.”
The victim, believed to be an adult, was declared dead at the scene and had not yet been identified.
