Houston news, Texas news.

The four family members found shot and killed in a burning Houston house may be victims of a domestic incident, police said.

Elvira and Jairo Escano; aged 44 and 37, and their two children Isabel and Jairo Jr.; 13 and 10 years old, were reportedly gunned down before their bodies were discovered in their burning home Sunday morning.

Troy Finner, the Houston Police Chief did not provide details on the ongoing investigation during a Sunday press conference but said that nothing is “ruled out” for the time being.

Those who knew the family described them as “good people” who had been living at the house since 2016.

“We see this and it’s like heartbreaking,” a family friend said. “Because we’ve known them for a really long time. Everyone who knows them knows them as good people.”
