Indiana mom dies from Covid after spending weeks on ventilator to give birth: ‘She held on long enough for him to be born’

An Indiana mom passed away from Covid complications after fighting to survive for long weeks on life support, giving a chance to her unborn baby boy to come to this world.

Kristen Roy, 38-year-old, died late August after undergoing an emergency C-section to deliver her premature baby Elijah against “all the odds.”

    She spent long weeks on a ventilator until her condition worsened on August 13, forcing doctors to perform the surgery while she was only 25 weeks pregnant.

    “I believe that she saved his life. She held on long enough for him to be born,” he said.
