Milton news, Massachusetts news.

One day after he suddenly passed away on August 23, ex-NHL star Jimmy Hayes appeared very happy and in good shape with his friends and children in a picture shared by his wife.

Though the cause of death for the 31-year-old man remains a mystery, close reports said that he died “suddenly and at home” last Monday.

“So much fun celebrating these 3 boys over the weekend,” Kristen Hayes said. “The cutest lil friendships (their dads all played hockey together at BC).”

Emergency staff responded to the family’s Milton home where they pronounced Hayes dead.

Hayes had retired in 2019 after scoring 54 goals and 109 points while playing in 334 NHL games.

“Sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Jimmy,” one supporter wrote. “I’m heartbroken for you and the boys Kristen. Much love and many prayers to you.”
