Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is currently President Biden’s chief medical adviser, praised the Trump administration Thursday for accelerating the development of Covid vaccines.

Fauci added that the Former President had wisely invested in the operation that typically needs a considerable amount of time through several phases, which helped to get the vaccines more speedily.

“Because of the wise investment in Operation Warp Speed – and we give credit to the Trump administration for doing this, particularly Secretary Alex Azar, who was an important component of that – what you did was make an investment to prepare for phase two and phase three, even before you knew that phase one worked or not, and to start manufacturing,” Fauci said.

Fauci’s remarks came in surprising contradiction with his recent friction with Trump, especially during his time as a White House Coronavirus Task Force member.

The expert had at the time suggested that Trump and his administration should have done way more to limit the virus’ spreading while Trump boasted that although he got along pretty well with Fauci, he “usually did the opposite of what he wanted.”
