Memphis news, Tennessee news.

A Memphis woman is behind bars after authorities rescued her elderly mom, who was left to live by herself in an extremely soiled home before she was found, covered in bugs.

On June 15, Memphis Fire Department members swarmed the filthy residence in hazmat suits after police officers were not able to access it due to the terrible odor.

An 85-year-old woman with dementia layed on a heavily dirty couch on the floor. She was surrounded by trash and covered in bugs.
