North Carolina man caught in Tennessee trying to dispose of slain girlfriend’s body

A North Carolina man was tracked down to Tennessee driving with the corpse of his murdered girlfriend and about to dispose of it Monday.

Michael Louis Cadogan, 24, was arrested in the Fish Spring area, about 130 miles away from his crime scene in High Point, North Carolina.

High Point Police had received a call about a 19-year-old woman being assaulted at the 3900 block of Pallas Way.

    The suspect had been apprehended thanks to a tip from a friend of his who claimed that Cadogan called and asked him for help to get rid of Delgado’s body and car in Fish Springs, Tennessee.

    The victim’s body was found in the car trunk, police said. Tennessee authorities charged Cadogan with the abuse of a corpse while he awaits extradition to North Carolina to face first-degree murder and concealment of death charges.
