Impaired driver crashes into SUV killing 2 sisters, critically injuring 2 other siblings

A California woman has been charged with second-degree murder and vehicular manslaughter in addition to a slew of other serious offenses after a deadly Saturday crash the killed two innocent sisters.

San Jose resident Elizabeth Nungaray, 43, was impaired behind the wheel in Porterville when she ran a red light and collided with an SUV carrying four siblings.

Police said that an 11-year-old girl died instantly while her 8-year-old sister passed away at a local hospital.

    Their 13-year-old sister fights for her life, intubated, with 50% of chances to be able to walk again.

    Following the crash, Nungaray’s car kept traveling before striking another truck and a traffic light pole.

    Investigators believe the woman was drunk while driving. She reportedly had multiple convictions in the past over DUI, burglary, and petty theft.
