Taylorsville news, Utah news.

A Utah orphaned teen who lost both parents to deadly health issues recently had been stabbed, killed, and dismembered by his childhood friend late last month.

The remains of Ivan Nickolas Vetecnik, 15, were found in several trash bags in a field nearby his best friend Rowdy Lee Aguilar’s trailer home on May 26.

The grisly murder reportedly took place inside that same home, authorities said. Surveillance footage clearly caught the friends entering the trailer and Aguilar alone leaving it hours later, carrying plastic bags.

The 17-year-old was immediately named a suspect in his buddy’s massacre. He uttered “I did it” after he was confronted with the overwhelming evidence. Initially, Aguilar insisted he had nothing to do with the victim.

“Anytime they were together they were laughing, they were having fun, they would bump knuckles, as they would walk away from each other,” Vetecnik’s aunt who was also his guardian told reporters.

“The fact this has happened just leaves us with a huge question of why? He was the most loving boy. He was a beautiful child. Biggest heart of anybody I know. He was a great kid.”

She added: “We never expected this to happen. The character of the other person is the same way. I never, never in a million years thought this would happen.”
