An Arkansas woman who vanished for days was ultimately found dead under her former boyfriend’s bed Monday afternoon.

Hughes Police Department and St. Francis County Sheriff believe 42-year-old Robin Elizabeth Allmon died from a drug overdose.

The victim’s daughter contacted 911 and asked for a welfare check at suspect Maurice Winda’s residence.

Searching the home, officers discovered Allmond’s decaying body wrapped in a sheet and stuffed under Winda’s mattress.

“One officer searched this house knowing good damn well he smelled something horrible, you can smell death especially if someone was there three or four days,” she said.

She added that Winda was an abusive man who deserves to be put in jail.

“He blacked her eye. Her eye was black, like over, she ended up going to the hospital. She had a fractured eye socket.”

Winda remains at large after stealing the victim’s car and fleeing the city. He will face stealing a car and abusing a corpse charges once arrested.
