S.C. corrections officer charged, fired from job after being caught smuggling meth-lollipops to inmate

A South Carolina Prison Officer was charged with distributing methamphetamine after she was caught smuggling meth-laced lollipops to an inmate.

39-year-old Dana Fisher, a Ridgeland Correctional Institution Sergeant, was arrested bringing a bag of suckers and Blow Pops to an inmate on May 7.

The candy later tested positive for meth after a contraband official noticed its altered wrappers.

    Fisher was fired from the job and charged with distribution of meth, providing contraband to an inmate, and misconduct in office.

    The Ridgeland Correctional is where the incident occurred is an all-male medium-security jail and houses around 1100 prisoners.
