Las Vegas woman kills husband during Live Chat, tells cops he accidentally shot himself

Las Vegas news, Nevada news.

Evidence has proven a Las Vegas woman’s claims wrong after she allegedly killed her husband then tried to stage the murder as an accident, police said.

37-year-old Emily Ikuta told detectives that she had been out walking the dog at around 11 p.m. on March 22 before she returned to find her husband dead, face down at the home.

She added that 36-year-old Jourell Ng may have been cleaning a gun when he accidentally shot himself.

But investigators did not buy Ikuta’s version of the events even after they found gun-cleaning items near the man’s body.

  • “Below the body of NG there was no large pooling of blood that was expected had NG been found face down, as Ikuta stated she had found him,” police said.

The cleaning supplies found at the scene were also not used and the bullet’s trajectory was not adding up with an accidental shooting.

A witness also contacted Police to say that they were Live Chatting with him when the shooting occurred and gave important information.

“They informed detectives they heard Ng’s dog barking in the background of the call, prior to hearing a slapping noise they believe was a gunshot.”

Ikuta was arrested on Thursday. She has been charged with one count of murder.
