2 dead, one injured in Baltimore County store shooting; Police investigating apparent suicide near scene

Authorities in Baltimore County, Maryland said that two people were killed and another injured when a gunman opened fire inside a Royal Farms store at around 7:00 a.m. Sunday.

The store is located in Middleborough Road, less than a mile from another shooting incident that occurred at an apartment where someone shot themselves around the same time.

“What I can say is that we are investigating right now to see if we can determine, if or if not, both incidents are connected,” a police spokesman told reporters.

“It’s early on in the investigation but as more information is gathered, we can release it as appropriate.”

    “It’s crazy because my daughter was asleep when I woke up, and I was going to come up here while she was asleep,” the woman said. “I’m so glad I didn’t because I would have been in there.”

    Another resident said that she was calling the store’s employees who’ve become acquaintances, hoping they were unharmed.

    “All of us know the people in here. It’s all the same employees all the time.”
