Trump makes surprise appearance at dog rescue fundraiser; hints that Lara Trump will be running for Senate

Former President Donald Trump said at a fundraiser that his daughter-in-law Lara Trump is planning to run for Senate in 2022.

Trump made an impromptu speech at the rescue dog fundraiser that was being hosted at the Mar-a-Lago resort where he currently resides.

“I didn’t exactly prepare for this, but I was walking by, and I heard everyone screaming. I said what’s going on and they said ‘we’re gonna help dogs,’ and I said ‘that’s okay with me.’”

He continued: “I’m with you 100%. We had many meetings in the White House and in the Oval Office having to do with saving the dogs.”

    The event was organized by the Bid Dog Ranch Rescue in an effort to help bring 500 dogs threatened in China.

    Lara Trump, Eric Trump’s wife, was among the attendees. The former president did not forget to mention her incredible efforts in the matter.

    “I don’t know, you’re running for the Senate. I hear she’s going to run for the Senate.”

    It has been reported that Lara was considering replacing North Carolina Republican Senator Richard Burr who is about to leave.
