Escondido news, California news.

A 13-year-old Vista girl had ended the lives of two men Friday night when she drove her mom’s car without her consent only to lose control and crashes into the sleeping victims.

The underage suspect was pulled over at Mission Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. Friday by an Escondido officer but she didn’t stop.

“What the officer didn’t know at the time is that the car was being driven by a 13-year-old girl from Vista who took her mom’s car without her knowing. The girl’s juvenile friend was a passenger in the car,” Lt. Kevin Toth said.

When their trip ended in bushes, the girls were arrested but then it was discovered that they did strike two homeless men who were sleeping in the bushes.
