Baltimore Ravens cornerback robbed at gunpoint while leaving LA airport with family

Thieves have reportedly followed Baltimore Ravens’ cornerback Jimmy Smith and his family as he headed to a hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

Smith was leaving the Los Angeles International Airport with family members when they were attacked and threatened at gunpoint.

“We are aware of the situation involving Jimmy Smith,” a statement from the Ravens said on Friday.

    The Los Angeles Police Department did not disclose further details regarding the robbery.

    The 32-year-old spent the last decade playing for the Ravens since he first drafted in 2011.

    Last January, he signed a contract extension for one year with the team for $2.5million.
