Two Fort Bliss soldiers are in critical condition while nine others are under medical observation after ingesting an “unknown substance” at a training session.
The Army base issued a statement on Thursday adding that the incident is being probed and more information will be shared with the public when available.
“All members involved in the incident are under observation of medical professionals,” the Texas-based Military camp said.
“Fort Bliss officials will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
The “Old Ironsides” is the first Armored Division that consists of at least 17,000 highly-trained soldiers.
The identities of the injured were not disclosed pending next-of-kin notification.
