‘Trump Plaza’ will be removed from West Palm Beach condo complex following unanimous vote

Palm Beach news, Florida news.

The “Trump Plaza” towers will soon be renamed after the West Palm Beach condo complex board voted last week to remove the former president's name over the deadly Capitol riot.

Now, residents of the lavish condos will choose a new name depriving Trump of having towers called after him across waters from his Mar-a-Lago residence.

“It’s been a long time in coming,” a condo owner said. “Most of us are relieved that the name will finally be off the buildings.”

Throughout the last three decades, the owners kept Trump’s name as “an asset.”

The condo complex officials started removing street signs with the Trump name fearing for the residents’ safety.

The new complex’s name will be voted on by the end of February with a two-thirds majority required to confirm the choice.

“I believe that an overwhelming majority of apartment owners will vote to approve the change,” a resident said.
