Washington D.C. news, Washington news.

Donald Trump departed the White House with his wife Melania Trump for the last time as president of the United States and stopped briefly to talk about his achievements and wave to the press.

As they headed to Marine One that waited for them on the presidential residence south lawn, Trump and Melania didn’t seem in a hurry to reach their Joint Base Andrews’ destination where he was set to hold a farewell event.

Trump raised his fist, waved goodbye, and hoped it won’t be “a long-term goodbye and that we’ll see each other again.”
