RV resident arrested in San Francisco park after police discovered suspicious chemicals

According to the San Francisco Police Department, a suspect is in custody after officers discovered chemicals used to make explosives near an RV park late Friday.

“On Jan. 15, 2021, at approximately 5:11 p.m., we responded to the 600 block of Gilman Ave to assist Federal Agents with an investigation,” Police said in a tweet.

“FBI agents on scene located chemicals used to make explosives. The resident of an RV was detained and nearby residents were evacuated.”

    “The SFFD and our EOD Unit responded to the scene. This appears to be an isolated incited and the investigation has been turned over to the department.”

    “Residents that were evacuated are receiving necessary assistance with temporary shelter,” a police statement read.
